Woke again—what a sick, cruel joke,

Every breath is just another rope.

Tied to a world I never chose,

A life that lingers but decomposed.

The mirror spits a shattered man,

Bones like wreckage, skin like sand.

I whisper prayers to an absent god,

Begging to sink beneath the sod.

Let me go, let me break,

Let the earth take all it takes.

Let the night erase my name,

Let the wind dissolve my shame.

But no—I stay, I rot, I fray,

Chained to love I can’t betray.

Every day, I curse the dawn,

Beg the dark to pull me on.

I trace my veins like roads to peace,

But map the faces I’d release.

I am the ghost that holds them tight,

A phantom wrapped in borrowed light.
