I'm Just Getting Started...

I'm just getting started, I progress in my subconscious

My confidence is alarming, it's echoing through the halls

This the calm before I get talking, the smoke I've been waiting on and

I got it, this more than just talking, not stopping, I got this

So I will lose myself in the moment, squeeze it and hold it

So just consider these minutes frozen

The deep end keeps going and I won't stop

A music box, but not boxed in, I got you beat, I am boxing

Just left the theatre, CREED III, it was awesome!

I'll let you breath, but for me, I must hold it

Going so deep, enemy is my shoulder

Look over to see that defeat has grown closer

Don't lose hope or let go, it ain't over

It's over for me if I feed the weak soldier

But I got a dream that I'll leave the World bolder

So I gotta lead, gonna see C-DOT bleed, on my knees, but at least there's a reason for me!

There's a reason I am where I am in my life

There's a plan, as I stand - phone in hand and I type

Write in bed every night, with no pen, with no light

Just my head till can get my hands on a mic

But I trust it'll work if I work and I work

And immerse all my hurt in these words till it's heard

I'll go first as I verse what's defined as my worth

Rest assured, I won't hide, this my life

Wake up

And get ready for work

Sit on the edge of my bed as my head is testing my worth

This ain't my purpose I'm sure of it, my internals observe

That I'm a gifted kid who simply got bogged down in the herd

I'm now in my shirt, the same one that I wear everyday

Maroon but it fades from wearing it again and again

It's crazy no stains have made a stay, my statement remains

I get dressed and I make my way

Out my room door to the front door

Open it, pause, and I question what for?

I've made it my chore to only work short

Hours at a part time job, funding each verse
