Told her I'd change — then broke it that night (classic)

Lied through my teeth just to stall the collapse

Then blamed the mirror — like that makes sense (who else?)

Laughed it off — until I choked (couldn't even laugh right)

Swallowed pills just to feel the floor (felt nothing)

Put my fist through the landlord's door
