There's a black crow sitting on a line and I

Can't help but wonder what he does to pass the time

Does he sit up there and just look down on the world

Or does he laugh at me because he knows I'll never find that girl well I

I'd use my rope to make her pay for what she's done

When her time runs out Lord when I track her down

I'll hang her from that oak tree in the middle of the town

I'd use up all my pay just to borrow that bird's wings cause I'd

Till my feathers all fall out or until my vision leaves

Well one chilly evening in a bar I finally found her face I wanted

To drag her by her hair out of that crowded place

But I waited right outside the door for her to come to me
