Choose a track to play
Alright, we're gonna do a little blues right here
We're gonna dedicate to a lot of my favorite blues guitarists
That have influenced me over the years
We can't touch on everybody because there's way too many of them
But, uh, we're gonna start off here
With a little bit of Muddy Waters and Jimmie Rodgers style
Right here we're gonna go way down to New Orleans
Do a little thing in the style of Eddie Jones
Better known as Guitar Slim
Over in Texas, and later in California, there was a guy
Called himself Johnny "Guitar" Watson
And his sound was a little bit like this
Now in Texas, another guy that came up after the great T-Bone Walker
And his style was a guy named Lowell Fulson
He played the blues a little bit like this
Now the one and only B.B. King
Influenced everybody once he came along
And his guitar playing, of course everybody knows
We're gonna play it one more time for B.B.
Yeah
Now Gatemouth Brown
The late great Gatemouth Brown
He played all kind of stuff when he played the blues
Back in the early days, he sounded something like this
Now Freddie King, he came from Texas also. Freddie also owed a lot
In his style to B.B. King, but he had a sound all his own too
And in just a minute, we're gonna show you just what that's all about
Now there was another King, of course you know. The one and only
Albert King. The man that bent strings into the stratosphere
When Albert played the blues, it sounded something like this
Yeah! And of course, Buddy Guy. When Buddy Guy
Played the blues, everybody went crazy. And he
Sounded something like this back in the early days
Now Albert Collins, the late great Albert Collins. The last time
I saw Albert, he said, "Take care of yourself, Duke. There's only
A few of us left." And Albert got on stage and he burned up the
House just before he passed away. I think he knew he was about to go
And when he played the blues, he'd roar and it sounded like this
Yeah, we just got one key left here, haha
That's E flat, so
I guess I might as well try and play a
Little bit like a guy named Duke Robillard
