This Old Dirt Road, let me tell you about it I've been traveling down this old dirt road

My whole life through the bumps and the potholes Through the struggle and strife every turn

Unexpected every mile's a test Sometimes smooth for a minute then it's back

To the mess The road gets muddy when the storms come through

Life gets dirty, mistakes catch up to you Sins from the past tryna pull me down

But I keep driving forward, can't turn around Missing dangers on this road, close calls

A dead devil tried to take me out, tried to steal my breath

Wrong turns, dead ends, thought I lost my way But God redirected, showed me light of day

This road ain't paved, it ain't meant to be easy Rocky rough terrain tryna bring me to my knees

Matthew 7, 14 said the road is narrow that leads to life But wide is the path of destruction and strife

I chose a narrow dirt road over the highway to hell Even though it's harder, even when I fell

Got back up, dusted off, kept moving ahead Cause this road leads to life, the other one leads to death

Met some travelers along the way, some stayed somewhere Some were angels in disguise, they had heaven sent

Some were wolves tryna lead me off the path But discernment kept me safe from the aftermath
