Choose a track to play
When you see
The bumbling bees
And the grass
With hope in the air
Squirrels jump around
And you cease to frown
Why was there ever anger and despair?
Birds are chirping
The ponds are glinting
A distinct touch
Of leisure everywhere
Prosperity beckons to me
And all I see is life living everywhere
The pen slips the last words out
But still writes the valiant poet
Convinced without a doubt
That poetry is written in the twilight
When the rest does seem unreal
Fluttering hopes of isolation
From the world so far away
Dreams float into your distracted mind
An almighty yawn through tired eyes
The rooms dark save for a single light
And suddenly you are independent of the conscious mind
