It runs where I can't see

Through the skin beneath my hand

Keeps the count I never set

And I follow where it stands

Glass hums before it shatters

Floor bends without a sound

Every shadow takes its shape

When my eyes aren't looking down

Veins draw maps I didn't write

But they move me all the same

Never asking for my step

Never calling out my name

There's a rhythm in the dark

That knows the weight I keep

It holds my hands apart

And pulls me in to breathe

Don't start

It's here

It proves
