Miseducation is the tool that led our nation
Down a hapless path of immolation
Far too many of us for far too long
Have been under the impression
That introduction to the quote-unquote "civilized world"
Was our first sign of progression
We as a people have made so many contributions to humanity
For example, within the arts, the sciences, architecture, spirituality
Sister Nina said it best way back
"Gifted, Black"
And that's a fact
