Peter had a dream, turned into a nightmare
All the strangest food, in a blanket right there
The Spirit said "eat" but he said no
And if you ask why not, the Scripture told him so
He was told all the food, it was impure
So he saw it as a trial he should endure
When Peter heard "eat" he got confused
But then the Spirit said--ayo, it's time to choose
If you are always right, this truth you might refuse
But if you need a savior then just call it good news

God's Word is not obscene, don't act like you ain't heard me

But God's people are always picking enemies
The Spirit says "love" and we say no

And hardly ever stop, to wonder what we've missed

Sometimes we like to say so, like to say it loud when we're redeemed
Are we affirming how much we love God or telling everyone else that we're clean
It maybe seems like we can't be right, unless we show them that they're wrong
