Tell me folks what the hell is going on
People acting fools..Why can't we get along
All this finger pointing and everyone placing blame
Why can't we be good to each other, Good Lord..it's a shame
Can't we get to fixing things on which we both agree
We can do a lot to help folks out and it starts with you and me
The world's gone crazy ain't we all had enough
We could make life easier, but we somehow make it rough
People passing judgment onto everyone they meet
If we could all work together, Man would that be sweet
So let's sit right down and talk things out, let's find a better way
To make the world better for our kids than it is today
Can't we overcome our hatred toward our fellow man
Now I don't care about politics, but it's time to take a stand
It's about changing the narrative, breaking free from these chains
Of division and anger and choosing someone else to blame
People passing judgment onto everyone they meet
If we could all work together, Man would that be sweet
So let's sit right down and talk things out, let's find a better way
To make the world better for our kids than it is today
Remember when we were kids, playing in the summer sun
Didn't see no colors, all us kids were having fun
Where did that innocence go, that carefree, easy grace
Replaced by anger, fear and hateful because of a person's race
People passing judgment onto everyone they meet
If we could all work together, Man would that be sweet
So let's sit right down and talk things out, let's find a better way
To make the world better for our kids than it is today
Maybe tomorrow will be different, maybe hope can find a way
To mend the broken pieces, and chase the shadows away
Let's choose kindness, choose compassion, let's choose to understand
And build a future together, throughout this, our great land
