Standing outside near San Jose

When I knew that I was falling in love

And not the fun kind where it all goes easy

The kind where you gotta risk

all you've got

for a shot

Waiting in a parking lot looking at flowers

I could tell that I was already yours

Nothing I could do about it anyway

Just remember how it feels and

let it pass away

In another life I would have the chance

To see it grow into a new romance

As it stands we just crossed

paths at the wrong time

So I'll write it off and remind myself

that timing wasn't right

You found a Snapdragon and pointed it out

Explained how it could open its jaws

It was then I knew that I’d been trapped by you

There was no escape from

And in my dreams we got a big blue jeep

Head back west back to San Jose
