Lets talk about my country
And the things that on a rise
A place no one fight back
But no one knows why
Rape and poverty and police brutally
Is something common right now
In our everyday lives
There a part
That just puts us to the road
Killing our brothers and sisters
As religion always told
It was something so often
That just happens from the past
And we kill each other for another thing we call cast
There's another part
That won't leave us alone
Where they put us into classes
For the money we own
And even till today
I don't call this place home
Its like living in the store
Like an item with bar code
I'm from a country where women are objectified
A place where the bigger picture is hidden in lies
And city where the slums are all pushed aside
Where nobody ever talks but expect to get right yeah
I promise to protect
Even if we never met
Even if the whole world look us down
I will still fight back till the world resurrects
Go away I'm awake and I don't wanna sleep
Hold my hand all together everybody gonna preach for our life and preach for our soul
So the future generation
Could cherish this gold
I'm from a country where women are objectified
A place where the bigger picture is hidden in lies
A city where the slums are all pushed aside
Where nobody ever talks but expect to get rights
Everybody think they on their own
But equally and justice ain't found in my home
I keep telling my self
It's the way that it goes
Don't call yourself a man
If you call this place home
Rape culture was always normalized
Its something so often in everybody's eyes
So they blame it on the girl for wearing what she likes
And yet another young princess dies
Tell me why now
Tell me why
Why the people of my country ain't united on a tie
Is it the god that we choose
Or the cast that we rise
And I'm ashamed to be a man
And I'm ashamed to be alive
I'm ashamed to be alive yeah
Cause I couldn't do what's right yeah
Cause I couldn't save a single person
And I'm talking bout the country
And I know that this shit ain't right yeah
Think about life
And tell me what wrong and what's right
For the people that you love
Would you step up for a fight
Then alright Everybody by your side
With all of us together we could save another life
I promise to protect
Even if we never met
Even if the whole world look us down
I'll still fight back till the world resurrects
