Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise
Mary espoused to Joseph, righteous man with upright ways
Found with child before they came together — imagine those days
Joseph minded to put her away private till an angel came
"Joseph, son of David, fear not — take Mary as your dame
Holy Ghost conceived this child, she'll bring forth a son
Call His name Jesus — He'll save His people, the chosen One"
All fulfilled what Isaiah prophesied back in the day
"A virgin shall conceive Emmanuel" — God with us to stay
God with us! Emmanuel!
Heaven came down!
God with us! Emmanuel!
The King has touched the ground!
Born in Bethlehem when Herod ruled Judea's throne
Wise men came from east to Jerusalem, they had known
"Where's He born King of the Jews? We've seen His star arise"
Herod troubled, gathered priests demanding their advice
"Bethlehem of Judea, Micah prophesied the place"
Herod sent the wise men, lying through his face
Star led them to the child, they rejoiced with joy so great
Worshiped Him with gold, frankincense, myrrh — heaven's fate
Warned in dreams don't return to Herod's wicked plan
Angel told Joseph "Flee to Egypt while you can
Herod seeks to destroy the child" — they departed in the night
Fulfilled what was spoken: "Out of Egypt called my Son" — the light
Herod killed the children, two years old and down
Rachel weeping for her children throughout the town
When Herod died, angel said "Return to Israel's land"
Settled Nazareth fulfilling prophets — God's hand
Every detail prophesied... Every step arranged
Emmanuel... God with us... Everything has changed
