She held my heart before I knew
The breath of light or skies of blue
She prayed through nights I slept in peace
She loved without the need to cease
With every bruise, she gave me grace
With every storm, a safe embrace
The gospel lived in how she moved-
A quiet faith, a heart that proved
It's in her hands, the sacred flame
A mother's love that stays the same
Through every age, through joy and pain
Her light remains, her truth sustains
It's in her voice, in how she stays
When others leave or drift away
She lifts the world with open hands-
Heaven echoes in her plans
She's never birthed a child, they say
But watch her love in every way
She's aunt and bonus-mom and friend
She weeps with me when hearts won't mend
She answers calls at 2 a.m.
Discussing frogs and faith with them
She shows up strong with just her name
And gives without the need for fame
To every woman called to serve
In quiet ways we don't deserve-
Your nurturing is not unseen
You're living proof of what love means
For every niece, for every soul
You shape the clay, you make it whole
God writes your name in sacred ink
And calls you more than you might think
It's in her hands, the sacred flame
A mother's love that stays the same
Through every age, through joy and pain
Her light remains, her truth sustains
It's in her voice, in how she stays
When others leave or drift away
She lifts the world with open hands-
Heaven echoes in her plans
And when this life has passed away
I'll see her on that brighter day
Still blessing me with love that stands-
Eternal grace... was in her hands
