Heart torn from these repetitive inhuman actions
Tribes and factions fracture our bedrock
Communally sip the hemlock
Hesitant to condemn us all
When I've witnessed how strong our roots grow
Though tainted, we've painted a picture of promise
Can't tell if we'll survive to daybreak, if I'm honest
But if somehow we manage to maintain
The blood spilt will not be in vane
The struggle is ingrained deeper with each injustice
Last ounce of strength mustered is for that primal scream to echo in our
Descendant's dreams
Generational pain built with compound interest
They can never erase the horrors we've all witnessed
Shifting narratives twisted till little reflects reality
Their lies sharpen this killers mentality
My capacity for love grows exponentially
Oh the audacity for brown folks to reflect on what's happened to us collectively
I believe they've called it a reckoning
In these times of abhorrent acts
The silence is deafening
We Exist within a flawed design
I hear the children chant Free Palestine
We see victims of an unbalanced mind
Hear the children chant free Palestine
Oppression often left undefined
... The children chant free Palestine
The children chant free Palestine
The children chant free Palestine
We Exist within a flawed design
I hear the children chant Free Palestine
We see victims of unbalanced minds
Hear the children chant free Palestine
Oppression often left undefined
... The children chant free Palestine
We exist within colonial design
The children chant free Palestine
The children chant free Palestine
The children chant free Palestine
The children chant free Palestine
