Some Things I've Been Learning About God

I brought my list of failures, all the shameful things I've done

He said, "You know I don't keep record, or keep track of all your wrongs"

Somehow I was surprised to find forgiveness where I was

His grace is always plenty big enough

And He's never quick to anger when I go off wandering

He gently brings me back just like a shepherd with his sheep

And even His correction, His protection born of love

His guiding hand will never break my trust

These are some things I've been learning about God

He loves me in a way that's too intentional to miss

The older that I get, the more I'm realizing it

He knows my every need and He's specific with His touch

The one for my heart won't give it up

He goes and shows me there is so much more to know of Him, hmm
