Deep in the woods
Three bears live side by side
They cook some porridge warm and sweet
Then take a walk on furry feet
Goldilocks walks through the wood
She sees a house — it looks so good!
She knocks but no one answers back
So in she steps to take a look
Goldilocks steps further in
Sees three sets of things within
Things she wants to touch and try
So tempting she can't pass them by
She finds three bowls upon the table
She tries the big one right away
But "Ouch, too hot!", she shakes her head
And the middle one is cold instead
The little bowl is just the best
She eats it up — she doesn't rest
She smiles, then leaves the bowl behind
And wanders on with curious mind
Goldilocks steps further in
Sees three sets of things within
Things she wants to touch and try
So tempting she can't pass them by
She finds three chairs all in a line
She tries the big one — Not quite fine!
The next is soft, she sinks too deep
The little one feels just right — sweet!
She sits down, full of happy cheer
But hears a crack — oh no, oh dear!
The little chair begins to shake
And suddenly it starts to break
Goldilocks steps further in
Sees three sets of things within
Things she wants to touch and try
So tempting she can't pass them by
Up the stairs she makes her way
She finds three beds all in a row
She climbs the big one — way too wide!
She shakes her head and steps aside
The middle bed is far too high
The little one she wants to try
The little one feels just her size
She lies down with sleepy eyes
Knock, knock — the bears come walking in
Not knowing there's a guest within
Now the bears will check and see
What's been touched so secretly
The bears come home and Papa Bear said:
"Who's been eating in my stead?
Then Mama Bear begins to frown:
"Someone else has been around!"
Little Bear looks down and sees:
"My porridge's gone — there's none for me!"
His tiny bowl is scraped out clear
The tasty food has disappeared!
The bears step further in,
Not knowing there's a guest within.
Now the bears will check and see,
What's been touched so secretly
Papa Bear with a puzzled stare
"Who's been sitting in my chair?"
Then Mama Bear said with a fright:
"Mine feels different — not quite right!"
Little Bear begins to cry:
"My little chair - I don't know why!
It's broken now in bits so small
It's just a pile — not a chair at all"
The bears step further in,
Not knowing there's a guest within.
Now the bears will check and see,
What's been touched so secretly
Papa Bear calls out ahead:
"Who has slept here in my bed?"
Then Mama Bear takes one long stare:
"Someone has been sleeping there!"
Little Bear jumps back in fear:
"There's someone sleeping over here!"
Goldilocks wakes with startled eyes
She sees the bears and away she flies!
Now the tale comes to an end,
Goldilocks learns, my little friend:
If she finds a house someday,
She'll knock and wait — or go her way!
