Talk Of This Town (Commentary)

Probably the most personal to what we felt and been

Through this past year is "Talk About This Town"

We changed our name, we were, it was interesting

You know, everybody's called us Lady A from the get-go

And so, during this time, what was goin' on, we felt like

We wanted to be a part of that message in our small way

And everyone not being together (Yes)

It was like there's no talking with each other

It's like kinda talking at each other (Yeah)

And I think during that time it was really tough 'cause we

Couldn't have these conversations in person with people

And so you just felt like there was just a lot of talking going around

And so when we wrote that song, you know it was kind

Of a, it's about being in a small town and a break-up

Not wanting to be a topic of conversation in a small town anymore

But we felt like that as a band 'cause we've always wanted our music

To be a refuge and a place of positive impact and positive message

I played it for a friend the other day and, uh, they were saying

That was one of their favorite songs that we've written in a while

'Cause I think anytime we can get a little bit

More honest and vulnerable and, you know, I think

That's when people can relate to you the most

Absolutely

And having to just push through, knowing why

We did what we did and believing fully in it

And having to just push through that it was gonna

Be misunderstood or, you know (Or take a while)

Or take a while, yeah

And with that, as much as we knew that going

In and we're still confident in our decision

You hit a point where you're just like, "Oh, this is a lot" (Yeah)

And that was a great way to kind of channel

That into a story song about a small town and

Well, I think you learn the most, too, going through the trials

And the downs in this life and, you know, it's tough to say that

But I, I think about that, anytime we've been at the top or I have

Been the most successful or life has, comes at me really easy
