Looking back, I remember when my mother said to me
She said, "You were a star since the day you arrived
I could see that certain sparkle in your eyes"
As I grew older, I realized she was right, yes I did
And even though there were times that I was lost
Always knew I could find my way across
Just as long as I see the signs to the path I need to find
In my life there are so many open roads
So I look for the signs to tell me which way to go
Although I don't always see where fate is taking me
Everyday I always learn a little more
On my journey down the road
I could be bitter from the times I've been burned
But I appreciate those lessons I've learnt
The road ahead is full of opportunities
And that's all I need to know
If I ever thought I was lost
