In seventy-six the waters called,
After prayers and knocking walls,
Elders came with hands of grace,
Truth and fire in their embrace.
A skeptic heart, once unsure,
Felt the Spirit, calm and pure.
I chose the path, I made the vow-
And I still stand believing now.
I know He lives, I know He loves,
With power that breaks the chains above.
It's not just hope-it's burning light,
That turns the dark into second sight.
The veil grew thin, and I have seen,
That love beyond what earth could mean.
Jesus Christ, my risen Lord,
Holds me close in one accord.
The first belief that caught my breath-
That Joseph saw what prophets said.
A farm boy knelt, the heavens wide,
The Father spoke, the Son replied.
What wonder lit that grove of green,
A holy vision, vast, unseen.
It happened-I know this truth,
I've carried it since my days of youth.
I know He lives, I know He speaks,
Through prophets now and those who seek.
From Joseph's voice to Hinckley's word,
The sound of Zion still is heard.
This Church, this stone the world cast out,
Now rolls with glory, faith, and shout.
The Kingdom's come, it stands restored,
With Christ our head, and truth our sword.
The Book of Mormon-miracle flame,
More precious than the gold or fame.
A keystone held in trembling hands,
That draws the hearts across the lands.
It separates the night and day,
The ones who walk the covenant way.
A living word, a mighty sifter,
The souls of light it gently lifts.
I know He lives, I've felt His face,
In sacred fire and quiet grace.
This is my joy, my soul, my call-
To build His Kingdom, give my all.
To labor here with consecration,
My peace, my hope, my one foundation.
Until He comes, I'll stand and say-
I saw the light, and I won't stray.
This is my work, my joy, my peace...
My testimony will never cease.
He lives. He loves. He leads. He stays.
And I will follow all my days.
