I'm Mediocre

If I'm listening to all the jokers includes me

Self-talk it over

Cause I'm convincing when I want to be

Oh, at best I'm average

My harshest critic I might call me a savage

So I'm relying on an age-old adage

That honesty is the best policy

Am I, being true to myself

With a little bit of credit when I deserve it

And a little bit of grace when I don't

Is that even good for my health?

How about a little more credit than I deserve

I need a whole lot of grace

To give myself some credit

I'm getting better, self-talk

I'm pretty I'm funny I'm clever

So cold that I could wear a sweater

When it's 95 degrees

It's getting brighter like the pass of dawn

Higher like a pantheon

Cause I'm starting to believe

But am I
