From my inception
It appears I'm ordained, from mother's perception
A vessel of nectar, a chalice of light
I live in darkness and feed through the night
In chambers of clay, we labour as one
Work in collective, each life for the sum
Replete with love, compassions my aim
My burden's my crown, and I carry the name
Honey vocals, a liquid lullaby
The sweetest of treasures, rest deep where mother lay
My sisters gather, and my essence awaits
A fortress of sweetness, my colony's fate
We march in formation, the rhythm divine
Carry burdens together, mother's design
My belly's heavy, but my heart stays light
Silent sacrifices, hidden out of sight
Do you wonder much? (Wonder much)
Yeah sometimes I wonder lost in wanderlust (Hey)
Days long only the sun to trust
And when rainfalls the thunder comes (thunder comes)
I'm searching for lost wonders under god
And I wondered if you wonder bout me
Then I wandered off
Born from the shadows, a phantom in stone
Tail like a spider, the desert's my throne
Flicker illusions, a dance of deceit
Lure in observers, seeking a feast
In the heights, where I live in disguise
Beauty and terror where nature collides
Camouflage silence, still as dead stone
Patience is power, I reign on my throne
From Zagros heights, where the harsh winds moan
Carved by the sunlight, on cracked sandstone
Between heat and shadow, I silently dwell
A ghost in the rocks, with a spider's spell
Skin hard as stone, I slither on bricks
Scientists say they found me 2006
But I've been around from the dawn of the days
Another mystery to the human gaze
Do you wonder much? (Wonder much)
Yeah sometimes I wonder lost in wanderlust (Hey)
Days long only the sun to trust
And when rainfalls the thunder comes (thunder comes)
I'm searching for lost wonders under god
And I wondered if you wonder bout me
Then I wandered off
Quills quiver — scripting sacred scrolls
Savanna's spine, sweet stories told
Steps syncopate, silhouette shadows
Stamping serpents, seventy swallowed
Stepping wingless, I willing walk
Sub Saharan sands, snakes I willing stalk
I graze grasses where the wild winds bide
Whispering wisdom, where nature collides
Eyes sharp as scriptures, scanning the sand
As depicted on the flag of Sudan
Measured in motion, a sweet story described
A true secretary never dabbles in lies
Proceed to deliver justice, where animals died
Immersed in natures balance, I travel the skies
A stoic stance, so steady and sure
Poetic principles, so pretty and pure
Do you wonder much? (Wonder much)
Yeah sometimes I wonder lost in wanderlust (Hey)
Days long only the sun to trust
And when rainfalls the thunder comes (thunder comes)
I'm searching for lost wonders under god
And I wondered if you wonder bout me
Then I wandered off
