From the Alps of Switzerland go south to Rome

Or cross the Aegean where Spartans and philosophers roamed

I always hear not today but someday we'll go

Saving for later what we needed to know

The wonders of history of nature of life

But someday came late and brought more strife

The Galapagos the iguanas penguins and seals

Not afraid of humans you see peace that is real

The Arctic the Far East Chile's Magellan Strait

Travel when you can for some it gets too late

I just wanted to have your ear I had to take my own advice

I learned more than in school when I ventured away once or twice

Start with a backpack then a tote or two

Trust your heart to lead the way to the wonders before you

There are times when planes or trains are just out of reach

Be a tourist in your hometown there is so much to teach
