Sencillo / Pista
I woke up in a cage with a smile on my face,
Dripping red like a rose in the wrong kind of place.
They gave me a name, then they gave me a leash-
Said, "Obey the Rose," but I dream of release.
I begged for a purpose, they gave me a thirst,
Now every heartbeat I hear feels like a curse...
But I hear the drums, I feel the thrum,
Something in me wants to run.
I fight the pull-I swear I try-
But then it's Blood Frenzy time, goodbye!
Round and round, the blood goes down,
Like candy on my tongue.
I Head Rush in, I lose my skin,
And giggle as they run.
So cast your prayers, and hold them tight-
There's no escape or end.
I lunge, I laugh, I take a bite...
Who wants to be my friend?
I whisper to my chains, they whisper back in kind,
We play pretend that I'm not out of my mind.
I heal when I hurt, so don't hit too soft-
Your kindness won't help when the collar comes off.
Certain Death calls, and I just obey-
Isn't it sweet how the light fades away?
My hands are claws, my thoughts are fog,
But I remember trees and frogs.
A picnic, maybe-was it real?
I can't remember how to feel...
"Control your hunger..."
"You were made to serve."
"Don't bite..."
"Just one sip..."
"FEED."
Round and round, I lose myself,
But still I long to know:
Is this the price for what they made?
Or can I tell them no?
So if I leap and break your bones,
Forgive me when I fall-
I never wanted to be a beast...
But hunger conquers all.
