I want to speak frankly

I know this is going to be hard to accept

As much as I've tried to fight against it my whole life

Kids do grow up

And sometimes when they leave the loving care of their parents

Well, corrupted isn't the right word, but

Negatively

A lot of people these days are selfish without even realizing it

Happened in my time, too, but back then

We had the sense as a country to do something about it

When I was raised

And raised correct

Our leaders then demanded some respect

I went to war

Just as a lad

To fight to save everything that I once had

America

Our way of life

Is burdened heavily with active strife

From those who want

To break us down

Destroying the legacy of each small town

But not within this place of my design

Where the freedom of control is mine

I've finally solved

The mystery

The secret of those men from history

A single voice

From one great mind

Can silence thousands of a lesser kind

Those evil thoughts

Your daughter hears

They have been poisoning her perfect ears

I know she wants

To do what's right

But we need her help to cure this awful blight
