Embers Of What Remains

In the ashes something stirs

Faint light A breath A word

I walked through fire, through hollow stone

Heard the echoes of a world long gone

Every scar, a whispered hymn

Every silence sings within

This isn't death it's the pause between beats

This is where the broken still meet

From the ashes, I ignite

Embers of what still burns bright

All I lost becomes the flame,

That keeps my heart alive in pain

Steel and bone, the ruins hum,

The ghost of dawn it always comes

The dark remembers who I was,

But I'm still here because

Don't mourn the fire, it still breathes

Embers sleep but never leave

Every loss becomes the spark

I'll rise again out of the dark
