I'm not on the right
I'm not on the left
I'm not false either
I walk elsewhere
I'm not in the center
I never have been
I stand on the margins
And I remain motionless
The voices of others weave the world
While I remain on the edge
Where the light unravels
It's not a condemnation
It's a learned transparency
I hold the light for them
I adjust the spotlight
I erase my silhouette from the frame
So that the painting is beautiful
In my silences, there are
Flashes of the universe
But no one looks at them
And maybe it's better that way
Being there
Without being there
Is a form of peace
A light weight
A quiet absence
I speak sometimes
But the words fall, without a trace
Like leaves too heavy with silence
The world seems to resonate
On a note I cannot sing
They call me strange
But strangeness is just the form truth takes
When it refuses to fit the mold
I see what others don't see
The cracks in certainties
The light in the remains
Seeing what others don't see
It's dancing with the shadow and speaking to the darkness
It's understanding the invisible, reaching out
And finding a universe in silence
I'm not apart
I'm beside
And from there
The world takes on another color
A hue we don't learn
That we wear without knowing why
Colors the eye doesn't catch
And sometimes
When everything aligns too well
I remember that my place
Is perhaps precisely
Not to have one
So I step back a little more
Not out of shame
But out of righteousness
Some are born made of steps
Others of retreat
I find there a form of order
A discreet
Almost sacred beauty
One where difference becomes inner light
For shadows are needed
For light to know where to rest
