While outside the wild things grow

Wherever they can be

Here I sit inside my pot

Protected from the free

Out I look into the world

I long to be a tree, that's

Tall and lush and green

Drinking sun with leaves

I've had enough

I'm heading out to see

You can stay here in your house

Where you have kept me trapped

Leaving with my leaves intact

I hop right out the back

I'm feeling ten feet tall

Landscapes rise and fall

There's plenty there for me
