Dreams

I know truth, I know lies

And I see miles and miles of distance in your eyes

Only time

Can show me how

I should go about my life and turn around

I been drinking

A little too much lately

But I like it when I'm sitting on my porch

But then that memory creeps in

And I'm on my own again

And there's no-where-left-to-run

I'm leaving my dreams on the side of the road

With the others I've given my love

And all I learned from anger

And struggle since then

Is that I'm stronger than I know

And so I pick my head up and I carry on

When you think you're down and out

And your dreams are far from you

Tired and broken

All my pieces scattered round and still unkempt
