99 Blessings

99 blessings and I'm counting every one

I'm thankful I clocked on at only 25 years young

And at the end of the day when it's all said and done

I'll still be sat here counting my blessings singing this song

Thank you for this incarnation in this handsome, healthy body

I'm grateful for my stiff joints and bust up back because oddly

It gives me constant reminders to keep myself in check, to stretch

And this in turn encourages me to reflect

High up on the list I'm very blessed for this breath

I fill my lungs slowly and deeply for the day I am set

We forget this simple step and wonder why we're always so tense

When we remember to breathe, we come back to the present tense

I give my praise! For the ability to sense

For the tastes, the feels, the sights, the sounds and the scents

These are the foundations of what we know as a human experience

And it all adds to the pleasure at least in my experience

And well you see I'm very grateful for my heart

It's been keeping me alive from the very start

It gives the power to love and its this love that flows through me

And I use it usually to put into this wonderful art

For each and every day especially the weekdays

I always seem to find my strength on the weak days

I feel it important to appreciate every suffering and hardship

Those who accept the challenge and learn the lesson, come out the hardest

Now where would I be? Without the very darkest emotion

Most human minds are less explored than the depths of the oceans

And if I hadn't have dived to the bottom I might never have opened

The door to my destiny and found myself in divine devotion

I see you in my eyes

I feel you in my spine

I hear you in my mind I say hey

Thank you for my voice and thank you for thank for the noise

Thank you for the girls and thank you for the boys

For the dogs and the cats, for rock and for rap

For my arms and knees and the harmonies

For the sun and the rain for pleasure and pain

For being able to function while being unquestionably insane

For the birds and the bees, the grass and the trees

For an open wound that heavily bleeds

Road rage and slow days

For dark clouds shielding sun-rays

Volcanoes and earthquakes, Christmas and birthdays

For thinking it's a Friday when it's only a Thursday

For violence and war, the cure and the cause

For ghost notes played off beat and dissonant chords

Sacred geometry and a whole spectrum of colours

For healing with Crystal's and Gaia our mother

For the little things like how a bird sings

For long hugs and unconditional love

Natural highs and synthetic drugs

Oppressive laws enforced by unfriendly fuzz

Repeating numbers and signs from above

For the loves of my life and this life that I love

'Cause at the end of the day everything I've said

Is something to enjoy or something to learn from

So they all have a rightful part to play

Whether you see it as a blessing or a burden
