Bare feet on concrete

Meditating in a rush

OCD aimed at my sleep

Furious when I'm woken up

And I'll pray, then I'll lose my faith

Walk when I wake, get some light on my face

My life is good

My life is mine

My life is plain

But I let you in again

Let the life I've built burn right to the ground

Let the doubts become all I'm sure of now

And it's mine to bear but the weight just wears me down

So I let you in

When I'm doing "well"

I guess it helps telling everyone I know

I can never have control

Another takes hold when I let one go

You find a way when it all looks fine

A foreign face and the same sharp eyes

And in my weakeness

I go seeking some relief
