Midnight thoughts in my head, demons talk when it’s quiet,
Heart cold, soul heavy, learned to move in the silence.
Street lights flicker like hope when it fades,
Trust broken so many times, now I sharpen my blade.
Blood on the pavement, dreams stuck in the rain,
Every smile I gave back then was hiding the pain.
I don’t sleep, I just drift with the ghosts of my past,
Praying something real will finally last.
Dark nights, cold heart, still I breathe,
Lost my faith but I still believe.
Shadows follow everywhere I go,
If I fall, I rise alone.
I seen friends turn enemies over pride,
Same hands that shook me now wave goodbye.
Voices in my head keep screaming my name,
Tell me “stay numb” but I feel the flame.
Love turned poison, trust turned dust,
Only thing I know is pain don’t rust.
If the world burns down, I won’t run or hide,
I survived the dark, I was born inside.
