Up Until Now

A time to laugh and a time to cry

A time to live and a time to die

Right now in the past

And soon again

With patient understanding

A new start you can begin

No Matter what life

Throws at you

Sad and happy on the same day

Wise and foolish in the same way

Free and fettered at home and away

knowing in the end it will be ok

Hopeful & despairing relaxed & depressed

Up and down the worst and the best

I take a deep breath climb

And here we go again

When I pause and I take stock

I look around at where we've got

I breathe relax feel gratitude

Deep inside

It could have gone any number of ways

And who knows how the future will play

But when I remember to be here right now

It's beautiful
