Putrid Thoughts

I dreamt of your death in a bathroom long gone cold

Too still and lifeless for twenty five years old

A line tracing your ligaments, the capsules in the bath

Your pale wide eyes staring through mine as if to cry out

Help me through this

I'm so useless

I can't do this

Kill these putrid thoughts

Careening through my mind

Cause I don't want to die

But i don't know how I'll survive

I try so hard but

I can't get through

I woke alone here in the mess of my own bed

Breath cold and foggy with your face stuck in my head

The night I found you

You'd taken everything you had

The darkness swirled around you

And all you could spit out was
