I woke up this morning
And here's what I saw
The morning sun would want you here
Hoping you won't disappear
The morning sun to leave the world behind you
The morning sun would want to know
Where everyone begins to go
The morning sun to leave the world behind you
Felt I was spinning out of control
I felt I was spinning out of control
I woke up this morning
And here's what I saw
Everyone seemed to be still crowding around in my room
Or maybe there was no one there at all
I came down the stairs
Hey, I got some new pants
I needed a drink and the papers, that's all
No crocodiles or aliens this morning, thanks
And then I walked back up the stairs
Walked into my room, closed the door
Sat down, spread out the newspapers
Opened up the window and fixed myself a drink
I pulled back the curtains
And here's what I saw
The morning sun would want you here
Hoping you won't disappear
The morning sun to leave the world behind you
The morning sun would want to know
Where everyone begins to go
The morning sun to leave the world behind you
Felt I was spinning out of control
I felt I was spinning out of control
The morning sun, it wants you here
Hoping you won't disappear
The morning sun to leave the world behind you
The morning sun would want to know
Where everyone begins to go
The morning sun to leave the world behind you
The morning sun
The morning sun
The morning sun
The morning sun
