Revelation

I found the Lord in the bed of my old Ford

With a towel wrapped around my head and blood on the doors

I've been in many bar fights but none quite this bad

My eyes are gettin' heavy and I cannot feel my hands

Mama always told me that I'd pay for all of my sins

But my sins have been so many that I thought He might forget

Now and then I've thought to reap what I have sowed

I guess He's finally come collectin' all the debt I owe

I saw a man on a white horse and Hell followed close

There were screams of anguish from a thousand tortured souls

I stood from where I lay and I found that glass of gin

And I poured it on the ground next to the tombstones of my kin

I know I wasn't meant to be lyin' in any grave

He turned to me and said "Now's the time to change"
