It's so crazy to know that "Mirage" is one of the records that people
Resonate with so much because it wasn't even a record I was planning
To share. I remember when I first wrote it, and I was just in a dark
Place and just upset with the person I was dealing with but really
With myself. Like how did I get here? It's like I found myself
Falling for the idea of the person versus what was actually happening
Before my eyes, and I couldn't figure out why I was allowing it to
Happen. And when you're in that space of delusion, it is dangerous
Because no one can tell you anything. I was the only person who had
The power to knock some sense into myself, and I had to. And I took
A real look in the mirror and said, "Ma'am, stop hallucinating over
Lame-ass niggas, lame-ass niggas." No, but since this song's been
Out, so many people have expressed how "Mirage" has helped them snap
Out of it or acknowledging that they might be a lame-ass nigga
Themselves, or that they're even in a mirage in the first place. And
That means everything to me 'cause at the end of the day, I just want
Us all to be great, and learn, and move forward and just do better
