I was drivin' cross the desert one steamy day

When a red 'vette said get out of my way

I said don't start with me I ain't the racin' kind

But he kept on pushin' with a one track mind

Said this ol' road ain't big enough for the both of us

Then he revved up his engine so I had to save face

Well the first thing I know we're at the starting line

My wheels started shakin' to his engine whine

Then he blew out a blast full of smoke and fire

His dual pipe heat nearly melted my tires

Now you might say he really got the jump on me

So I rolled right by him like I'd won first place
