He walked down by the river again
Where the wind knew his name like a friend
The stones, the bend, the water's glide -
The place where he'd always gone to hide
The world had changed, though nothing spoke
The trees were quiet, the sky felt broke
A shimmer stirred beneath the flow -
Not wind, not light, not anything he'd known
No birds, no sound, no drifting leaves
Just silver rings and static breeze
The stream, once soft, began to hum -
And from below... the sword had come
Down by the river, where silence grew deep
The blade awoke from centuries' sleep
Down by the river, the sword appeared
It sang to his hands of forgotten things
Down by the river, the stillness broke -
And shadows stirred beneath the oak
He ran back home through meadows wide
But monsters waited on the side
Twisted shapes of bark and bone -
Things no one in the town had known
He stood alone, the sword held high
It moved as if it knew to fly
With every strike, the shadows screamed -
The boy a warrior, before unseen
The village watched in frozen awe
The boy they knew had turned to law
And when the silence came again -
The elder stepped through smoke and flame
Down by the river, the blade chose its voice
Not for glory, but for lack of choice
Down by the river, when shadows approached
The sword of mana was drawn to light
Down by the river, where magic breathes -
The first page turned beneath the leaves
The elder spoke, explained the tale
"The sword remembers the balance lost..."
"You must go, to the root, at any cost."
"The tree still calls. Your path must start -"
"Or mana dies... and the world."
Down by the river, the world unspooled
The magic clashed, the Mana faded
Down by the river, the boy had been -
But now he walks a road unseen
Down by the river, the journey began -
To find the tree, to cleanse the green
