Well we moved out here some many years ago
This was the perfect place to watch our young sons grow
Into the men they are today, they make their old man proud
They never got into trouble, or ran with a bad crowd
After High school graduation, our sons moved away
Their momma's tears and all her fears, hit her hard that day
Now I didn't say a word
But I admit that it really hurt, Watching them drive away
And I wouldn't trade a minute or a single day
I know other folks are happier livin' a different way
I know I cherish every moment with my lovin' wife
For me there's nothing better than..Livin' My Country Life
Now both of our sons have their own lives
They both got married and got great wives
We got seven grandchildren who put a sparkle in our eye
Surrounding us with love and memories as the years go by
Well my John Deer tractor's park just outside
When the grandkids come over they beg me for a ride
So I take them for rides on it, it gives them such a thrill
Down and back again up of our front hill
Now city folks have traffic and they can't see stars at night
But livin' in the country boy it all just feels right
So you can have your city life
I'm very much content here with my lovin' wife
And I wouldn't trade a minute or a single day
I know other folks are happier livin' a different way
