Atop a burdened donkey rode a stranger into town
Tilted in the saddle one leg draggin' on the ground
All eyes were upon him as he stopped outside the store
Wore a tattered cowboy hat, twenty holes in it or more
There were two rusty pistols droopin' at his side
And the rope that held his pants up was barely even tied
He slid off his steed and took a big swig from a flask
Then he said out loud although nobody had asked
I'm just a dumbfuck from bumblefuck nowhere
Don't pay no attention to me
He had crooked eyes, a crooked nose
Could look both ways as he crossed the road
He stumbled into the store and fell to his knees
Said I'll trade ya my guns for a can of beans
But I went to the shelf, said take this one today
And next time you're in town maybe toss a dime my way
The stranger took the can and tipped his hat
He said that's mighty kind, sir you can count on me for that
So he got back on the donkey and rode back to who knows where
He was the dumbfuck from bumblefuck nowhere
A month later ten black horses carried bandits into town
Red bandanas on their faces 'cept their leader Foster Brown
First they held the bank up and outside the sheriff fell
And with their repeating rifles, they got the deputy as well
They rounded up the women as all the children cried
And any man who took a stand was sentenced then to die
Then through all the chaos we all started hearin' clops
And in rode a donkey with a lanky man on top
He was a dumbfuck from bumblefuck nowhere
Said don't pay no attention to me
He had bloodshot eyes, a drippin' nose
Said excuse me boys you're blockin' the road
Foster took a rifle and aimed it at his head
Said take one more step and boy you will be dead
The stranger looked up and gave a shrug
And he tried to go around but the bandits didn't budge
More guns came out, pointed his way
We thought this would be his end but today was not the day
Look my friends, are you sure you wanna go there?
Said the dumbfuck from bumblefuck nowhere
Foster and the boys laughed in unison
As the stranger on the donkey fumbled for his guns
But while they were distracted, oh to my surprise
I saw a glint of fire in those crooked lookin' eyes
He was the dumbfuck from bumblefuck nowhere
And it sure was a sight to see
They set ten men up, he knocked ten men down
And his last three bullets put Foster in the ground
Then he rode my way and flicked me a dime
But I flicked the thing right back, said beans are on me anytime
And he tipped his hat and rode off to who knows where
I never saw him again, but I've got a friend out there
He was the dumbfuck from bumblefuck nowhere
Oh the dumbfuck from bumblefuck nowhere
