i'm just so tired of being down

on myself

i go through these phases

so tired of getting down on myself

i go through these phases

i get down on myself

i form a foam

unclean

the only bandaid to prove my attempt

only days salted

i've never known an ocean motionless

which one day won't be such a simple thing

i was such a dirty little ocean you dove into

some explorer!

barnacles cling to you now and multiply

and i wonder will you dive again

do you know it's not a simple thing

to slip over edge and slide in

when you know your gills are missing
