Many Dances

I taste the water

Feel the rain upon my skin

As it falls down

From the heavens

Carrying the essence

Of the cloud it drifted in

Reigniting life's progression

I hear the wind rustling the leaves

I see sunlight through the branches

I feel the earth underneath my feet

The young woman knew

That soon she would be gone,

Yet was happy and grateful

The chestnut tree

Her only friend

Said I am life
