to the tyranny of ignorance and hatred

enraged
That indifference
which on its own
does no apparent
or positive immediate harm
Ends by washing
itself in the very horrors
it means to have nothing to do with
Hoping to confer no hurt
indifference grows lethal
Why is that?
And I heard all the cases that were made
the reasonings
the rationale
they hold no weight
But I know it's all
based on hate, racial hate, religious hate
How do you defeat a movement
that defines
victory as defeat?
I'm looking for a rational explanation
that can show me
the reasons why
humankind can be so destructive
Humankind can tear me up inside
I want to hold my breath and stop time
As time goes by, it just gets worse
I remember innocence
innocence is dead
it died when I shut my eyes to the world
