Through my share of hardships I made the blacklist
Never seen progress and felt I was going backwards
Too many chains the devil's holding us captive, so
How many of us are ready not for this rapture, huh
As I reflect no longer the man I used to be
Accustomed to resentment when moments went bad usually
See God is not in the business of handing you the key
But pray for endurance and He'll grant you the opportunities
To show patience in moments of pure anguish
This is motivation great time to show greatness
Walk the imminent path heaven for sure awaits us
Learn through difficult tasks really what core faith is
It's fresher air when His breath is inside
And death I will never fear as long as heaven's the prize
Need guidance myself 'fore I give my children advice
And seeking Christ that's the meaning of life, that's why I pray to Him
