When we wrote "Next Girl," I wanted it to be a lot of what I feel like

I loved female anthems, I felt like there were so many honest but
Fun, empowering songs back then from all of those women and, you
Know, all of my girl friends have experienced this guy, I've
Experienced this guy numerous times in my life, and I felt like
I watched girls at my shows, in the audience, deal with this
Guy and meet him and, I mean, I've seen it and, and I know that
They deal with him after my shows and I know that they're
Dealing with him in, in their own lives. And I wanted to just
Kind of make it as real as I could and as honest. But when girls
Turn it on, even if they were hurting, they could feel so strong
And roll their windows down and forget about him for a minute
