Riverbank Girl

She showed up at the river with a six-pack and a smile

Said, "I have not been out fishing in a good long while"

I thought she was a city girl who needed me to lead

Turns out she was a country girl with everything she needs

I grabbed my rod and tackle box like I was doing her a favor

She just watched me bait my hook and soaked up every layer

For three whole trips I played the hero, proud as I could be
