I walked away, chasing after
The plans and paths I made alone.
But all I found were fading shadows
My strength was never enough to stand.
Lord, I'm weary to the bone,
With nothing left to hold onto.
But there I learned this precious truth
This broken place was where You were near.
Even in nights that wouldn't end,
My tears falling without a sound,
I heard Your gentle voice again:
You're not alone - I'm holding you
Lord, now I finally see
It's not my strength - it's all Your grace.
And the farther I wandered from You,
The drier my soul became.
So I will come to the place of prayer,
And breathe again through Your holy Word.
Now with my whole heart I confess
Without You, Lord, I am nothing.
Lord, lead my trembling steps again,
Not by my will, but by Your own.
Every moment I stumbled and fell
Opened a door of grace for me.
Each time my weakness came to light,
Your love grew deeper than before.
And this path that brings me back to You
Has become the greatest gift of my life.
