The morning sun rises over the horizon
And as shadows beam across the barren lands
One flower stands firm without being frightened
By the river, the lotus flower expands
Glancing down
She thought of two yielding wishes
Both weighed heavy on her soul and heart
In distraught, she viewed two gorgeous fishes
Her questions becoming shadows in the dark
Can't one of my spores be created to bloom?
Can one, or even more, avoid death's impending doom?
From the mud, learn to rise
Through silent pain and patient time
What sinks at night will greet the skies
Even in darkness, life still climbs
The burning sun departs the star-filled skies
As sounds of splashing echo through the shaded lands
Two coyish koi fishes await their friend
Like angels witnessing misfortune, they hasten to defend
At night, she sinks
And dances with the rising moon
Lotus flowers blossom
Within the dark, muddy gloom
From the mud, learn to rise
Through silent pain and patient time
What sinks at night will greet the skies
Even in darkness, life still climbs
